The BBC School Report is a nationwide project for Years 7 and 8 involving hundreds of schools with the aim of producing real TV, radio and online news for broadcasting live on Thursday, 13th March 2008 to the nation. The project is supported by the BBC and all the participating schools will use materials from the BBC School of Journalism to train pupils in how to make a news report and how to produce journalistic style articles. At Chigwell School we will be running the project with the IIIrd and IVth Form Williams Project and so far I have been delighted and encouraged by the interest from the pupils and the support and offers of help from members of staff from many different academic disciplines.
